Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Manages and leads large and complex organizational change management initiatives. Plans and executes change management strategies for the enterprise by ensuring stakeholder alignment, end-user readiness, and overall program communications.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads a team of managers and professionals in the execution of change management projects, including identifying risks, defining and communicating impacts, and measuring change receptiveness and adoption.

  • Creates change management models to evaluate project support and facilitate changes to business processes, corporate initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational structures.

  • Trains, coaches, and consults executives, senior leaders, and managers on change management principles and philosophies.

  • Conducts change impact assessments to identify project scope changes, end user impacts, and desired outcomes.

  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Develops communications and training related to organizational changes.

  • Serves as a change management subject matter expert, including staying updated on certifications and industry trends.

  • Defines, measures, and reports project success metrics.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

  • 7+ years of change management experience.

  • Prior experience leading teams through large-scale change iniatives.
