Job Description & Qualifications
Identifies, researches, analyzes, makes recommendations, and negotiates potential mergers and acquisitions to support the organization's growth objectives. Makes recommendations regarding the impact of potential mergers and acquisitions on the company's profitability.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Participates in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including new target identification and outreach, pipeline development, building business cases and financial models, conducting due diligence, drafting purchase agreements, and planning for integration.
Maintains mergers and acquisitions strategy and pipeline development.
Performs industry and financial analyses using first- and third-party resources to generate acquisition opportunities and investment recommendations.
Develops business cases supporting acquisitions and potential target valuations.
Conducts due diligence on mergers and acquisitions targets. Helps coordinate internal and external diligence teams to meet project deadlines.
Analyzes data to forecast market trends, determine market sizing, and develop target projections in support of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Prepares presentations outlining business cases, valuations, and supporting analyses for senior leadership in support of acquisitions.
Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
